After a break, visit Athena Pronaia Sanctuary, the most photographed spot in Delphi. At the afternoon we visit Arachova. The once-quiet village where people stopped to buy folk art before reaching Delphi, is today often referred to by Greeks as the 'Winter Mykonos'. Nestled on Mt Parnassos, Arachova is a town that has been transformed into a popular destination for those seeking winter sports and relaxation. It sits at an altitude of 973 meters and thanks to its proximity to Athens, the winter months see it buzzing on weekends with city slickers escaping the rat race for a break in the refreshing mountain air. Follow in their footsteps and find out why this place is so adored. The village’s lively tavernas, bars and restaurants are home to endless entertainment, but there’s more to Arachova than endless fun on weekends and during the holidays. The rest of the year, when out of the spotlight of visitors, Arachova exudes a cosmopolitan charm. The shops arranged along the main road and the crisp mountain air make window shopping a refreshing experience. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 03: Delphi (Itea - Galaxidi)

Breakfast and we visit Itea and Galaxidi. Itea is a small waterfront town located close to the archaeological site of Delphi. The town’ s view of waters and imposing mountains in the horizon make for a pleasant seaside stroll or coffee spot. As we drive into Itea from the mountainous surrounds, you’ll notice that the hills are covered with olive trees, which once belonged to the sanctuary of Apollo in ancient times. Itea has since been nicknamed the “sea of olives” and their productions are now an important part of the local economy. A combination of clear waters and lush green mountains makes Itea the perfect destination year-round. We continue with Galaxidi. The prettiest resort along the Gulf of Corinth, little Galaxidi curves around a seafront hillock, with narrow cobblestone streets connecting the well-sheltered harbours to either side. The older harbour was a major shipbuilding centre during the 19th century, a prosperous era when the town acquired its fine crop of stone mansions. It’s known locally as Hirolakas, or 'Widows' Port', remembering the wives who waited in vain for seamen husbands whose ships never came home. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
